Malik Brown Is Wrong Orange - TN

Marsh has .

I am using UT from here on out.

Butch Jones, too.

this 1 really stings... i really wanted brown.

now estime really better not with us.

Sucks for him, time to move on.

kid sold out for a big stadium and a bunch of hot, trashy chicks - son of a b!#ch (and completely understandable ;) )

So we lost Edwards, Allen, Brown and Smith because of the coaching changes.

Good grief!

I don't agree at all. No one has a crystal ball here, but so far after the coaching change, we're 4-4 (loosing) with our top recruits. No question Allen was Marone-caused (he said so/Hacket). I would also say that Brown flipped b/c of Marone (he said so, and it seems silly to argue with a direct quote), and Smith also smells like Marone-related (no NYC connection). Gus was probably drifting anyway.

Talk me down, but I think Doug stuck it in our eye on most of these kids. But hey, good to know your (new) dream is working out (until you loose too many games and they roast you on one of those piles of garbage the drunken fans leave burning in the RW parking lot).

Or so they say. Sounds really logical when it's said, but then you look around and see how tenuous any coach's position is and you figure it's bs, because it's very likely either his position coach or head coach won't be there when he graduates. Add to that the fact that they ended up going to Programs that came in late to fill in their classes and they had no prior relationship with the coaches they ended up signing with.

Can't say it's not truly unexpected...

I think many of us were drinking a little too much orange Kool Aid that Shafe and McD could salvage things with the key commits/targets...

Turns out they couldn't.

i dont think we lost any of them for the coaching change.

Agreed. The coaching change makes for a convenient excuse so they don't have to take any responsibility for the decision.

Brown said his choice was based almost entirely on the coaching change.
LOL - riiiiiiiiiiiiiigghhtt - of course it was kid

that's why you decided to go with the brand new staff at the school that just offered you in the last couple of weeks, because the DC that recruited you and you committed to was promoted to head coach

This.

Wish recruits would just come clean and be honest.

Malik Brown said he called Scott Shafer prior to the ceremony and told him Syracuse did not finish in first based on his point system.

Well, there was a mass wholesale coaching change at UT as well. They fired every assistant coach from the Dooley era. Perhaps the difference was that Butch Jones brought in 6 of his coaches from Cincinnati, 2 on offense, 3 on defense and a strength coach. I think the bright lights of playing in front of bigger crowds in the SEC and perhaps more love shone to him from UT fans swayed him more. I don't get the coaching change comment, though.

that's a classy move - by calling the coach before the ceremony he gives the staff plenty of time to move in another direction - thanks dude

@PSFootball
Malik Brown's point system finished like this: Tennessee 242, Syracuse 202, South Florida 156.

guess Morrison was worth 41pts?
