Malik Willis

Threw some really nice sideline balls, but may have played with a little too much confidence - e.g. the late fumble.

I hope he’s a legit NFL prospect, because that means our D is really exceptional.

if we had him at QB we’d win 10 games. At least.
He is an elite athlete for a qb. He throws a great touch pass. I don’t think I saw any signs that he can operate in the middle of the field where he would need to fit the ball into a tight window, or make plays where he would need to put some mustard on the ball or where he had to throw a receiver open. It’s those skills which will make him or break him in the nfl.

He had a sideline throw between the corner and safety that was pretty filthy.

Hard for me to judge him given how ferocious our pass rush was. He rarely had time to go through his progressions.

.Like Major Harris of WVU...only better.
I think Harris was more of a threat on the ground and not as much through the air. Harris > CFB players, Willis > NFL. Good comparison

They’ll likely buzzsaw through their schedule until 11/6 against Ole Miss.

Pickings our slim at QB this year. Willis, Howell, Rattler and Strong are the consensus top QBs right now.

I think he's a really good player.

Not sure he took our game that seriously though.

I think we damaged his Heisman hopes but because of how tough the defense played him. He broke several long plays but the defense made the plays at the end to win. Very enjoyable game to watch most of the time. Happy for Tucker, Shrader, Szmyt, the entire defense, and Dino. We didn’t beat ourselves against Liberty.

With Malik Willis in town to play a P5 team, it was a good night for Sean Tucker and our defensive studs to ball out…

Tucker reminds me of Chris Carson. Not the sexiest back, but fights hard for every yard and always falls forward with good speed.

What’s nice about Tucker is he never stops after the first hit. He always seems to be able to pick up three yards. Very seldom is he stopped for a loss.

I think the look and change ups at the snap really thru him off. Also, the backers and secondary along with good coverage, took away the normal first and second reads. No time for the the third.

In his presser, he said he didn't know there we defenders closing in from his right; he was winding up to throw to one of his wide receivers.
