Marcellus Barnes transferring to SMU

Not much -- if you take away that he left the program after 1 semester, in a manner that had the coach Barnes himself referred to as "family" when he committed describe the player as a "snake" after his departure. And then troll us on social media -- which in and of itself isn't that bad, but I didn't like when Scott Shafer did it, either.

And for me, even if it just boils down to smack talk, then I look forward to making him eat his words.

OK i'm fine with that view about prior actions. I'm just talking about this recent thing. But I just saw the instagram he posted where yeah he is making a dig on SU in that. But I'm guessing it is in retaliation to the spoof fran brown account above that went at him where he probably thought it was Fran. If so that makes sense. So...whatever.

I hate spoof accounts and the way they can do that. Is there anything people can do to get rid of imitators that aren't legit? that is the real thing that pisses me off here.

It used to be Blue Check Marks before Elon decided to give them to anyone willing to pay him money, and there is supposed to be a parody tag under spoof posts, but the moderation is poor.

Like I said, I had the same reaction when Scott Shafer strutted around with that cigar after beating us.

What was "so wrong" about it? Nothing, really -- but it still rubbed me the wrong way. And I looked forward to beating his a$& down the road when the opportunity presented itself.

I can't get worked up about anything ex-players do or say. It's a business, and frankly they are all in the rearview mirror. Same attitude I have about Rutgers football, etc. Old players, rivals is in the past, we got enough to worry about and celebrate in the present.

I have the same take. Barnes didn’t make his post because of some burner account. It’s fine that he did, he’s irrelevant, but a bad look current players liking it.

Seems to be a lot going on right now that’s not positive.
