He made the play of the game. Miami had all the momentum. Marek kicks to the corner for a wide open trey, the shooter misses, Marek gets the board & does the behind the back pass to Oshae for the layup. That got our mojo back.

Not to mention the two clutch game sealing FTs.

He has such good fundamental basketball instincts. Really looking forward to his development when his strength, shooting, confidence catch up to his innate understanding of the game.

Made a comment after being in the Dome 4 hours prior to the Pitt game how Red was working with Marek on his midrange jumper and the result were abysmal. Clearly the intensive work has continued. Form is VERY smooth now and you can see confidence building. This is huge for an offensively challenged team and we're going beyond the point where the opponent has to respect the option to the point where we can look for that 12 to 15 footer as an integral part of the offense.
