Mark Few

I like Gonzaga, but I see justice in them not winning the title this year due to that incident.

While I don't think you should necessary lose your job over the incident, I think the penalty should still be very severe (up to a year long penalty). Not being able to coach the first game against the Northwest Hairstylist School was absurd.
So, you think that his players deserve to not win a championship because of the coach’s off the court, off season, actions. Interesting.

At what point does he start to feel the heat as a perennial March choker?

I don’t think it’s fair to label him a choker. They have played for the title twice and that was never before thought possible at a place like Gonzaga. It’s really hard to win a title. Timing has to be right, matchups have to be right and you need to get lucky. Some of the recent Gonzaga teams are way better than some of the recent champs (UConn’s teams and the Duke team come to mind). I do think the Zags get overrated a bit based on playing no body from January until the tournament.

My example of how hard it is to win the championship is Kansas. One of the true blue blood and always one of the top seeds yet only three titles in their history (and only two since tournament expansion in 1985).

Cuse!

Gonzaga and Few can't seem to over come the issue around guard play. Last year was the first year they had the kind of guard to get them there in Suggs plus one more in Ayayi. This year it's a hodge podge again as it's been many years that ultimately isn't the formula to win it all.

This year will haunt him I think - all of college basketball is down. Memphis provided a perfect example of what Arkansas was going to try to do, and they sort of didn't look prepared to me. Also in tough games with athletes they often don't fare well.

JBs greatest asset in my opinion is winning games where we are not on the same plane athletically. Zags need to get tougher and more athletic.

I think you're being a bit harsh. 2013 and this year are the years I would truly consider underachievements compared to seeding

Apparently they've only beaten one team seeded 3 or higher. They've been gifted high seeds and favorable draws and luck...and still crash and burn.

Choker is a weird way to put it. They had been to how many Sweet 16's in a row and he's been to two final games and four elite 8's while winning more tournament games than anyone the past decade. They get a more favorable whistle against UNC and these thoughts don't even exist.

That’s a great stat, very interesting.
It's a dumb stat. I went back 10 years and they've played 4 games against 3 seeds or higher. That isn't nearly enough data to project anything. I really don't know why fans do this. We have idiot fans did this with our Final Four when Michigan State lost in 2016. Why do fans downplay teams success when other schools choke?

Yep. Mentioned it after the first game of the tournament. You could immediately tell it was going to bite them in the ass at some point and it finally did. I don't know what their scholarship situation is, but they don't yet have more help coming in next season to address the issue either.

There's nothing worse than the "overrated" chant. WHY ARE YOU DOWNPLAYING YOUR TEAM'S ACCOMPLISHMENT?

Big choker! Should run away from Gonzaga because it's obvious with all that success there it's never going to be enough. I'll go pick him up and drive him far far away to a new Dome i mean home

It's tricky as to where to place Few among the current and historic Great coaches, mostly due to the conf they play in where he gets to rack up wins against mediocre-to-bad teams. But in recent years he has played top teams from around the country in pre-conf games.
As for his record/achievements (lack of) in the tourney- I don't know, can't really cast him as a "choker" per se, but it does seem fair to cast him overall as an underachiever relative to seed, and at the end of the day (fair or not) it's about Final 4s and championships

Holmgren plays exceptional defense. He only fouled out in two games this season prior to last night and had more than 3 fouls in just 8 games.

Not having him last night for almost half the game was a helluva obstacle to overcome. Kid had 14 boards in 23 minutes!

Roy Williams lost a lot of games at Kansas in the NCAAT at Kansas he shouldn’t have. He lost to 2 championship games.
He left KU for UNC and won 3 NCs.

Maybe Few needs a change of scenery. What Few has done at Gonzaga won’t be matched by anyone.
