MARRONE...He is what he is...

Wfschrec said instate offers. That list is consistent with what he said. Houston and Baylor were the only two Texas schools on that list. Considering how good he is, it illustrates the point that the Texas, A&M, and Texas Tech throw aways are still more talented than what is available in NY. Someone else had pointed out that everyone else wanted him for positions other than QB. In regards to that, he slipped through the cracks as well because if everyone knew how good he was going to be they'd have all offered for QB.

Thank you ... you get an A in reading comprehension :) ... maybe someday he will too ... to further my point I had stated early and will still state that I am shocked that only two in state teams pursued him ... shocking to me honestly ... the guy is a freak.

The type of slip through the cracks qb that we used to get before everyone else wanted someone that could run. I'm hoping Broyld can provide a suitable impersonation.

What is crazy is that the guy was a known athletic marvel and a 4 star QB ... he could play all over the field but for him to be rated that high as a QB he had to be a playmaker at that position ...

That's true. Does Texas have so much talent that a guy like that is just a face in the crowd? Maybe the other texas teams thought they were set at qb and he was determined to stay in state?

I know UT thought it was ... of course we know today that is not the case ... but A&M, TTU, TCU or SMU .. no way.
