Now that things have shaken out and Dought Marrone is the HC of the Bills this may represent a hidden benefit for Cuse Football.
During Doug's tenure, he brought us into a new and dynamic recruiting position with downstate players. Sure we have yet to get a 'top dog' recruit from the area, however, we have certainly upgraded the quality of recruits we do get from downstate.
One of the things Doug Marrone is fond of doing is supporting local high school coaches. In western New York we still have work to do to successfully recruit the Buffalo and western New York area.
I suspect that Doug may well help us to have improved relationships with western New York coaches. In the past Marrone got the Jets to provide equipment to the local schools and now he is even in a better position to make that type of thing work in the Buffalo area.
In this we may find an ally in Marrone in terms of our recruiting in that area.
Just a thought and I welcome additional comments on this.
