Doug Marrone is an average football coach. You can argue starting points and everything else all you want. For a guy with such an offensive background, his team's offenses over the last seven years both in NCAA and NFL have been downright pathetic.

The amount of luck he had during his final years at SU and Buffalo is astronomical.

Syracuse - USF victory in last minute, Missouri win in last minute, Pitt win due to defensive TD. He was 3 plays away from going 4-8.

Buffalo - Detroit win where FG kicker missed all 3 FGs, Minnesota win in last minute, NE win where Pats didn't care. He's 3 plays away from going 6-10.

Those plays are going to even out over time. And he will be fired from his next job because of it.

This is not even mentioning his unwillingness to change and his abrasive attitude towards players, media and front office personnel. He's got an awful big ego for someone that hasn't won squat.

What goes around comes around. Marrone is going to get what he deserves at some point.
