Defense has always been not great. We've just had great 3rd down defense and forced TOs which is not sustainable as I've pointed out many times.

He’s not doing a great job of stepping up in the pocket and making a quick decision. So he’s rolling out, then can’t make a decision or is out of position. When he does step up in the pocket he’s just not making quick reads. Assuming there’s someone even open.
