He is not playing well, that much is clear
22 timesHow many times does Spallina have to get the ball checked out of his stick by 27 before he stops forcing it?
And both never address the problems that lose them games. With Babers it was procedure penalties and clock management. Here it's offsides, penalties and similar slop.
That's dumb.this is why Spallinas comments last week were so cringeworthy.. He's getting worked right now. Keep your mouth shut and play The game.
They'll benefit from all the other teams losing everyone to graduation, but if the slop doesn't get addressed it's not going to happen. All it takes is one game to slip up and it's over.Obviously frustrating performance. Syracuse just looked completely out of their element early and the Terps made them pay. I thought this game would be a lot closer, but SU never looked comfortable. We just play completely into their hands every game and I don’t understand it. I know how good they are, and how well coached they are, but we make it so easy for them.
I will say we need to find a whole new group of ssdms this offseason. I’m trying not to call out specific players, but #1 and #50 can’t be the starters next year or this team will be in the same exact spot. They are getting roasted out there. Just not even close to the level needed athletically. Have to improve that spot, have to have to have to.
Obviously there should be big expectations for next year. Unfortunately nothing is guaranteed. I thought 2013 was just the lead in to multiple championship appearances and wins. They had the number one recruit coming in, they had Randy Staats coming in, the future couldnt have looked better. It didn’t happen obviously. It’s really hard making it this far. SU needs to be proactive in the offseason.
Regardless of how the second half goes, I’m proud of this team. They gave us lacrosse in May to care about, and for that I’m grateful.
Anddddd look at all the supposed diehards jumping off the bandwagon cue the Gary Gait’s not gonna work thread in about an hour
i'm not ready to close my tab and go home just yet.Regardless of how the second half goes, I’m proud of this team. They gave us lacrosse in May to care about, and for that I’m grateful.
I thought the same exact thing. Never has a word to say to anyone. Not the assistant coaches, not the players, nothing. It's certainly oddGait's sideline demeanor reminds of Dino
That's dumb.
Playing too much defense because they can’t sustain an offensive possession.Awful defense
