For him its an easy retirement job he can grow old in. Get paid a lot of $$$ with the Under Armour money/backing at Maryland and the expectations of winning are far less at Maryland. He wins 6 or 7 games a year and nobody will bother him till the day he quits. At Georgia anything less than 10 wins and they want his head on a platter

Stupid hire for both sides. Richt couldn't win the SEC enough. Maryland is such a fool's gold job. Ohio State/Michigan/Michigan State/Penn State will always out-recruit them. It would be stupid to hire Richt.

I think it would be a bad move for Richt. Going from not winning 10 games in the SEC to not winning 10 games in the B1G.
