The next coach at Notre Dame or Michigan will be Luke Fickell out at Cincinnati.

Mentioned this last night to a friend in Cincy that Fickell was the next young HC to jump to a strong Power 5 job.

Both my friends children and Luke’s go to school together, his words are they are happy in Cincy, he’s not motivated by $$ and that Luke thinks he can build Cincy until another round of expansion/conference movement.

I find this hard to believe that he would stay as he flew to Michigan State last year to interview for that job but maybe he will stay at UC, in this year called 2020 stranger things have happened.

I wanted Campbell over Dino Baber‘s, but why are you even posting this? The guy was on the hot seat two weeks ago when they got crushed by Louisiana Lafayette.

And having absolutely nothing to do with this thread I see the great Mike Leach Lost this weekend, put up a whopping 14 points and barely 400 yards to mighty Arkansas

To be fair to Mike Leach, he didn't go out on the field and turn the ball over 4 times. Its actually pretty impressive they managed 400 yards of offense despite all the turnovers.

Campbell wasn't on the hot seat after ULL. come on. They are a talented team, limited practice and looks. Who said he was on the hot seat. guy is a stud and dynamic offensive mind and recruiter we could only wish for at this point.

Its easy to look at matchups on your sports ap and see ISU vs Louisiana Lafayette. Boom! A signal goes off bc it's a b12 team vs something with alot of names and directional. Mistake. Louisiana as they want to be called and should be called and have gained that respect are good and talented. We're always looking for our next future former coach. BK just signed a contract extension to 2024 though so they may have to hang out a bit.

They went 4/6 on 4th down in the game so thats pretty cool. Leach gave his team chances to win the game. They just didn't execute (turnovers). I wouldn't be personally mad at Dino if we lost a game by 7 points with 400 yards of offense because Devito threw 3 picks. Was just adding some perspective

Was simply stating that a casual fan looking at games might assume this game would be a blowout based on the old ULL name and not really looking at what they do on both sides of the ball and just how well coached and talented they really are. Louisiana is good and talented, so the game wasn't a total assumed win and they wouldn't for alot of p5 teams.

ISU is good and well coached and we have been , to be nice, less than impressive this year and last. Campbell and his staff are solid and his team has that dynamic quality we lack.

He will search articles and now try to prove to you how less attractive Iowa st is and how Campbell is the greatest because of that. He will respond with anything to show that Cuse is not good and everyone else has it better. Oh but he's just a fan that keeps it real and he hopes we win Saturday. Go Orange!!!

Good point and I get it. I love dino, think he is a fantastic person. He sold me when he first got here, just see a change in his demeanor and vibe the last few years as losing sucks the life out of the best. He keeps things close to the vest thus its hard to put a finger on it. He went all in with TD and in doing that there is/was risk. It can turn around and we need to see recruiting and player development to improve . I am excited about the new D coordinator but dino needs to figure out what's up with the O.

Campbell is dynamic and is in a situation similar to ours on the hill and he is recruiting some stud athletes in a tough conference.
