Also We are no longer a basketball town
He's bad for radio calls, he calls it like we're watching on TV. His voice sounds like a giant glass of nasal mucus behind the mic. What do people dislike about Matt Park?
He’s by the far the worst I’ve experienced. Surprised he still has his jobI think people need to hop on xm and listen to other schools and then decide how bad he is.
I have. And yes, there are some really bad announcing teams out there. But, for most of them, I at least knew where the football is on the field of play and how many yards were gained or lost on a play.I think people need to hop on xm and listen to other schools and then decide how bad he is.
Why not be both? Also We are no longer a basketball town
Truer words have never been spoken. This is an Internet phenomenon. People think they’re perfect and everyone else stinks and voice their opinions on social media, comments, etc.
I don't listen to many games on the radio but I did once after several pointed this out just to hear for myself. It is definitely an issue.I have. It's often total guesswork when listening to SU games on the radio.

Just wondering do think Matt is good ?Truer words have never been spoken.
No idea. I don't listen to him muchJust wondering do think Matt is good ?
That would be amazing. The reality is it hasn’t happened much in our history that men’s basketball and football were both dominant. So it usually is one or the other that is celebrated in any given yearWhy not be both?
THIS. I got 3 free months of Sirius 3-4 years ago when I bought a new car. Kept it ever since because of pretty much every major game always being on... The initial complaint seemed to be Park being too much of a homer. I got news for you with some of the other guys across the country...I think people need to hop on xm and listen to other schools and then decide how bad he is.
That's all well and good if you're local. Many of us can only get the games on the Orange sports network.I think people should hop on FM and listen to WAER.

He's not Dave Cohen who used to do the voice overs years ago when they rebroadcast the SU games on Sundays on TV.I don't hate him, but he does sometimes get into fan mode and doesn't describe action well during games. That's not too big a deal to me since I rarely listen on the radio. The bigger thing for me is that he refuses to give even the smallest of critiques about something we're doing poorly and can get defensive if fans do. I get that he's an employee of the university, but, as a consumer, I'm not required to accept that reasoning.
He is horrible at down and distance, and score and time. You can listen for half an hour and not know the score.I do. When Syracuse is playing a school with a Sirius broadcast I always tune in to the opposing teams call. Way better listen. I actually know what down and distance it is and what's going on.
I've listened to them from Knoxville on my google nest. The college students are my pick to listen to a game if I can't watch on TV. I miss not hearing Adam Terry a little though.WAER is available to anyone who has an internet connection. Gross blacked out internet streaming of their live football and basketball games years ago, but that is a thing of the past, as far as I know.
Check out their schedule for August 30.
