I'm sure that there are a million reasons why it can't work, but this guy has done AMAZING work in only 3 years at Temple. He's only making 600K there, so I gotta think budget-wise we could make it work...

You have to think he will have some of the big boys knocking on his door ASAP.

Well, as far as not so big boys, I know Rutgers is interested in him.

Took a 2 win team to 9 wins and the top 25 in only 2 seasons since arriving. Local. Head coaching experience. I think he's my top choice, but I agree will likely be a hot commodity.

No reason not to call him. Gotta think like a big boy. Would also see if Mullen is interested (based on rumors he's thinking of moving on)-Can't hurt.

He has a very very veteran team. If I were him I would leave now also. Temple could be back down to 4-5 wins next year. IMO

I would pass. I want to go in a different direction.

Yeah this might be his one shot if Temple falls back to earth with youth next year. I would bet he will interview with UVA and Rutgers if they fire their coaches. We should interview him as well to hear what he has to say.

What do you guys think about him as HC? I think he'd do well at Syracuse.

According to our current twitter overlord Alum Pete "cockknocker" Thamel, we shouldn't even bother making the call.

I see I missed this thread from yesterday...

I remember when he was a GA at UB. So he knows NYS and the East Coast. I would interview and hear him out but he wouldn't be in my plan A or B's unless he is really impressive on his interview.

rhule might be a good fit at a factory. he won't have enough offense at a non-factory.

Solid. Was the OC under Golden. Good recruiter. And his Temple teams actually played Defense. Something SU definitely needs.

Should hire him at Clemson when Dabo goes to LSU.
We'll just promote Venables. However, I wouldn't be opposed to Rhule...though I must be missing something if most of you don't like him.

I think he is a good coach but many on the board are looking for a more established, fast paced and dynamic offensive guru.

Lincoln Riley should be on the short list then.

Think you're right...he also has recruiting connections in our prime areas. (well used to be prime areas)
It's almost impossible to win a Temple. That in of itself should warrant a look.
