If I may, acknowledging I have not won as many college basketball games as head coach...

I think it's partly true that defenders key on Joey G/Jackson/Griff's outside shooting and that opens up room for Marek and Guerrier. Perhaps another part is that defenders know we don't often prioritize getting the ball in to Smokes and G, so they can get away with focusing elsewhere a bit.

Matt was great at the DO and he is fantastic at the Athletic. His Twitter feed is great, he calls it as he sees it. Pretty impressive how unafraid he is for a young guy on the beat.

I mean in his defense, Boeheim basically changed his whole coaching method for this year after that. He started using his bench and things changed for the better almost immediately

Idk, he kept picking at JB to play Richmond and Edwards more and it's clear playing them more has helped the team. He's a bit too confrontational but I think he'll get better with time.

I like Matt’s stuff and he does a great job on the beat. But he’s had some smh Twitter finger H0T Takes this year that he should stop and think about before tweeting.

IMO-
he does a really good job reporting and clearly knows the game (despite being just 5'2)... but tries too hard at times to be an edgy snarky social media head ala Goodman, Davis and a few other nationally known types - clearly trying to make a name for himself at the detriment of his reporting
