Report fails to mention calm and clutchness under pressure. How many first downs did he get on third and longs?

Kid is a winner.

He will play on Sundays. Too soon to say if he will start or star, but he WILL play IMHO.

If DiVito can be on an NFL roster how can this kid not make it ?????

The raiders Giants have tons of room at QB.
FIFY. And the best part of McCord is you can get him later in the draft. If he is as good as we think he is, he really has the potential to be the steal of the draft. If the Giants got him in the fourth round or later, that is something you can build your franchise around. Giants need to do their thing today and secure the top pick in the draft with another depressing, uninspiring performance against the Colts!

but the giants will take Prime time or Ward.

This may be the first time I’ve ever read a scouting report about a QB where they have said handing the ball off is one of his major weaknesses. The first read stuff is a bit garbage because if you’re great at reading defenses before the snap you are going to go to your first read. It’s how most of the great pocket passers do it.

Doesn't the NFL come out with their own analysis? I'll be interested in reading that. I assume more legitimate scouts put that together.

What does McCord lack that he's not in the conversation with the other QBs coming out in this draft? I don't understand why he's in the conversation as being a good backup QB in the NFL. What would he need to be considered a starter in the NFL?

Good question. If you compare him to recent first round draft picks, he lacks their level of mobility and arm strength. It remains to be seen how much that will matter. Plenty of QBs have had great careers without being the most athletic or having the strongest arm. His TD/int ratio was good by not elite, so I would think scouts will try to analyze that. It has to look good that he seemed to digest a new playbook and gel with new recievers so well in his one season. He should be good enough to get a shot. What's most important is that he goes to a good organization that doesn't screw up their QBs.

There aren't enough of those.

considering how few easy tds we had chances to get his ratio was pretty good.

Some of you are underestimating Kyle’s competition when he tries to make an NFL team.
For example, look at this throw from Kenny Pickett today for the Eagles. Never saw McCord do anything close to this this season.

Is Kenny Picket the dude that did that BS fake slide in the ACC championship game?

I absolutely think he will get a shot, but the lack of mobility (not for a normal person) but at the NFL level is an issue.

People can point to outliers but the vast majority of QBs these days are a threat to escape the pocket in some way...which is why the Mocks makes sense to me. That said I would have him as a backup on my team in a second.

Watching the Lions/49ers game right now. Detroit would be a nice situation for him. They don't ask Goff to run. They have a great oline. Do they need a backup?
