My buddy’s cousin in law owns a carrier pigeon company and he said that someone from the NCAA is using one to send something from Indianapolis to Syracuse. This feels like the 2024 version of Dan Mullen to SU
The only thing we know for sure is if there’s not some twist we don’t know about, then he will be denied the wavierJust throwing out random ideas here, but what if Kyle specifically asked before the 5th game at Ohio state not to play because he didn't want to burn his redshift. Day put him in anyway and told Kyle he'd be off the team if he didn't go in. Maybe then Day signed off on this story as the appeal to the NCAA.
Based on a combination of talking with people very close to the program, fact checking, and reading in between the lines. Here is what I believe. The waiver was requested a while ago as many have mentioned. It was originally declined. They have submitted an appeal- an appeal in which Ryan Day has in fact signed off on for wrongfully blowing his redshirt in garbage time. That has the potential to cost Kyle significant financial loss. In today’s day and age, the NCAA is under such scrutiny they have become much more favorable in granting appeals.
Now, the one year anniversary of Kyle’s commitment is tomorrow, Dec 17th. There has been much talk that the school was hoping for an answer on the appeal sometime this week. Let me ask this, why is the “CLUB DART” NIL party being held during the middle of the week? Where better to make such an announcement?
As we seen today with Brady Norton, schools try to land commitments while the kids are in visit during portal season. It prevents them from going on to the next opportunity. Rickie Collins was a sho in to accept on his visit but the staff didn’t offer.
There’s a reason why the staff is slow playing and not offering. I am going to go out on a limb and suggest my opinion- “Cuse knows or will know tomorrow or Wednesday morning”. Kyle will get his extra year, and a public announcement will be made Wednesday Night. I could certainly bring completely wrong, or slightly wrong- but I firmly believe that my theory holds strong possibility!
In theory yes but there is also a long history of the NCAA granting (what feels like) every request from big time programs.Just want to confirm, the success of Kyle's appeal hinges not only on the NCAA ignoring the plain language of the governing statutes/regulations, but also ignoring years of precedent interpreting the statutes/regulations?
So by that logic McCord is not getting another year, but we're getting a QB who's even better? This feels like the 2024 version of Dan Mullen to SU
And I’m not spending 96 hours straight with iPad in front of meExcept everyone is arguing and there's no turkey.

A lawsuit for financial damages does nothing for eligibility. It isn’t about a lawsuit helping SU. It’s about McCord having a case to sue on his own behalf since he will be losing out financially as a result of a decision made by a member institution employee to which he was a subordinate.
Player is subordinate to Coach, Coach is subordinate to NCAA, it’s not leaping to conclusions here.

Check the photo - McCord is blurry…The irony is, if Day doesn't play McCord in that 5th game, McCord doesn't transfer, Marty's Mom and Dad don't kiss at the Enchantment Under The Sea Dance, and none of us are here right now.
They may want to wait to see if McCord wants to use it. “Courts” don’t like to decide cases they don’t have to decide. The NCAA has had the appeal for months. If it was such an open and shut case , you think they would have made a decision by now? Amiright?

He is 100% in if he gets the waiver. I’ve confirmed with multiple sources. They may want to wait to see if McCord wants to use it. “Courts” don’t like to decide cases they don’t have to decide.
There wouldn’t be. However, making an exception for Kyle could open litigation floodgates.I would obviously love to have McCord for another year but what exactly would these hypothetical damages be awarded for?

I guess you guys aren’t ready for that yet, but your kid’s are gonna love it.And a white kid doesn't write Johnny B. Goode.
He didn’t claim he wrote it. He said it was an oldie, but a goodie. And a white kid doesn't write Johnny B. Goode.
