Kyle McCord to NFL Draft

Yeah we need him to announce in a post victory interview on Fox that he’s coming back.
I'm looking for McCord to have 300 yards and 4 TDs in the first half so he can take the rest of the day off.

Then when they interview him at halftime he can announce he's back. :)

I hope the team is not thinking that because that’s when you get beat.
Good thing I'm here talking to you and not the players before the game.:p

If I was really shooting for the stars, McCord only needs 1300 or so passing yards to set the all time single season record. It's only 80 completions for an average of 16.25 yards per reception.

We'll look bad running up the score, though.

In all seriousness, in spite of all their problems, even the backups on Washington State are P4 players, and the coaches are P4 coaches.

Weirder things have happened than them pulling a great gameplan and a good effort out of their hat.

I just read an ESPN guy’s evaluation of the 2025 draft QB class, he had Kyle as late round of UFA. First of all, let’s hope he is a 2026 guy. Secondly, the NFL are idiots in terms of scouting QBs. Busts all over the place who were drafted at the top of the draft because of nothing more than “potential” or they look great throwing in shorts with no one in their face.
This is why Kyle wants to come back. He will make more money next year playing for Syracuse rather than going pro. He will also increase his Draft Stock with one more year, which will increase his eventual NFL Earnings.

Is the reason it doesn't seem we're bringing in upper-tier portal transfers because they're saving most of our NIL for Kyle?

I agree with this take. Feel nfl evaluation has really gone down hill the last 15 years. I remember when guys from smaller schools would get scouted, drafted early and have long pro careers. It seems like gms now look at star rating prior to picking a player. Head scratcher. I have always never understood why teams select QBs from blue bloods. Most of these guys are busts because they do not need to really learn how to read defenses, get the ball out quick or fit the ball into tight windows. Their wr are usually open by 10 yards and have 8 to 10 seconds to throw the ball. QBs at non blue bloods do not have these advantages and need to learn to be great passers and read defenses. Look at most of the qbs with long term success. They were not from blue bloods except Brady and he was drafted in the 6th round.

I don’t think a lot of this is supported by any evidence or statistics.

Kyle is going to have a very long and successful NFL career. I expect him to play 10 years or more in the league. Watching the bowl games and the playoffs today there isn't one QB that i have watched play that i like better than Kyle. He is a stud and a leader.
Love that enthusiasm and hope it comes to fruition, but no way will he be in the league 10 years

So weird but so true. Don McPherson was 30+ years before his time, complete opposite of that era

That's why we got those guys, McPherson, Graves, McNabb and almost Vick.
People forget, but it was 1988 before a black quarterback won a Super Bowl.
We gave opportunities to black QBs before it was popular to do so.

Yeah, and once everyone else accepts what we accepted first, it's forgotten.
