McCord

That is a great quote Dash. Never put a down payment on worry. Gonna stash that one away…

Edit: but I’m a little worried you might take offense ;)
Although to play devils advocate I don’t think that advice is always smart as worrying about certain things can lead you to prepare for the worst, hope for the best if you have some control over it. For example, having extra supplies and materials available for the chance of an emergency situation in your city. But for sports, when we can’t control the roster next year, I agree

Nothing here that hasn't already been discussed ad nauseum on this board.

At this point it's more about him deciding to pursue his NFL dream than if he can come back or not.
Yup. Unless there's something in the appeal that we don't know about in terms of his personal circumstances, or they do something that is unprecedented, that's pretty much it. I'll keep the faith but have my expectations in check.

I didn't even know about the suspension/ DUI thing from another player in Ohio State. It also has opinions from people who were once involved with NCAA appeals. I haven't seen either of that in this thread and I've read almost all the pages I think.

Lol I took my parents to the Tech game last night and my mom made sure to point out to me that she'd gotten a bag of the McCord chips. I was a little jealous last time I went grocery shopping they were out.

Update: My mom pretty clearly sensed my disappointment. She just texted me and said she bought me two bags! :D

She usually shops at the Wegmans on 31 FWIW.

Wegmans on 31 has a huge display of them as you walk in by the carts.

so should we be sending a bottle of non-alcoholic champagne to this backup QB?

too soon?

My favorite part of this is that, no matter what the NCAA does in this narrative, they implicitly realize that they are, in fact, donkeys.
Almost like when they investigated UNC and found out that their athletes had been taking fake classes for decades but then said it's cool though all their students are taking fake classes.

Is that the kind of Donkey behavior you're talking about?

This is correct. I thought it was a good article though.

well, there are actual experts quoted unlike just anonymous message board posters. But sure, nothing new. Jeez. Tough crowd.

Over the years, when we pay attention, we all come to know the posters who "know about things." The experts in the article, Mr. Mars, Ms. LaPalombara, and Mr. Setchen, did not espouse any argument that was not already noted in this thread or in the Pavia thread. I thought the insights they provided were well-measured.

Let me know if you find them anywhere, especially if in the Rotterdam/guilderland area.
I'm pretty sure they have them at Fred the Butcher II in Voorheesville. That shouldn't be too bad of a ride for you. Maybe 20-30 minutes.

We need a Kyle's chips dealer in the Capital Region to secure the hookup in Voorheesville. We can get them a pager and then they can drive around the various towns and sell the chips to us.

Like a Swans truck. A Swans truck with a pager.
