Averages through 3 games:

20.9 pts
9 asts
4.7 rebs
4.33 stls
47.1% 3 pt
46.8% from floor
2.2 turnovers
3.85 ast/to ratio

Leading a long-shot, 1st place team that is 3-0 with impressive wins over Miami & LeBron and Chicago & D-Rose. They were projected for 16 wins all year by Vegas. Long season to go, but couldn't really ask for a better start.

That is amazing. Keep it up kid.

Even if he cools off, that doesn't affect his defense and the way he runs their offense. That being said, he looks like he's worked on his shot and he definitely added some muscle to his frame over the summer. He may cool off a little but I also think this is a product of him working hard on his game.

The way MCW got into Rose's head was a thing of beauty. You could see Rose was just not there mentally and MCW had a lot to do with it.

He also got Lebron flustered at times. The kid is very, very good at defense. Hard to deal with a lengthy 6-6 PG at the top of the key.

His new nickname should be "stretch".

The interesting thing will be to see if philly tries to blow up the team outside mcw to ensure a top pick.. if they get rid of say hawes, turner etc for picks and dead weight I wonder how much more stress that puts on mcw and if it ends up wearing him down mentally and physically. I see no guarantee that wiggins is the next melo.. what if he is just another rudy gay or demar derozan etc. I think they are better suited to hang in as a later lottery team and just go with it. Otherwise if they are gonna blow it up hopefully they reduce mcw's minutes and ensure he doesnt break down.

Interesting point. Everyone kind of went into the year figuring they had Wiggins on lockdown - the players seem to be blowing up that plan. Through three games they already have 20% of their projected win total taken care of. I doubt Philly fans would appreciate the give-up though - doubt they pull the trigger unless they start to collapse of their own accord.

If management tries to tank it i could see MCW refusing to play.

MCW is emerging as a force, though its obviously still very early.
However, if you have something magical happening w/ this team right now, you don't blow it up IMO, for an "unknown" quantity like a lottery ball. There's no guarantee they'd get the 1st overall pick even if they tanked.
These guys are pros and to willingly sabotage what could be the best NBA story of many years, would be a disservice to fans everywhere. Maybe I'm naive but I'd like to think they'll let this play out and see where they end up.
Btw- Wiggins, from everything I've seen, will end up like Harrison Barnes 2.0. I think Jabari Parker and Julius Randle will emerge and have bigger seasons than Andrew Wiggins. We shall see.

They have a ton of cap space and they essentially add a lottery pick when Noel gets healthy. MCW, Turner, Thaddeus, Noel is a super athletic, young, talented nucleus. Hold onto Hawes and sign a big time 2/3. Wroten has the looks of a sixth man. The team may not be too far off. If they play well this season they may attract a non-Lebron free agent.

completely agree and this is what I hope they do. Just keep reading about their dilemma in that they are not tanking. If anything they should learn from how well mcw has started that you dont need the top pick to get a gem in the draft.

He can hit the 3pt from 23' now, but he couldn't hit it from 20' last season?

He looks a lot stronger to me this year both in the legs and the upper body. That definitely helps. Plus as others have noted, his shooting coach definitely changed the trajectory of his shot.

I cant believe how completely different his jumpshot looks than just a few months ago. Last year when he would hit a three it was like a rock entering a pond at a convenient angle. Now it actually looks like it should go in.

Had to expect that there would be a significant change in his shot. His shot was his #1 weakness in his draft stock, but Philly management/coaches knew they could work with him on that. He's got great physical tools and speed/quickness, if his shot continues to improve he could be a force in the NBA. So far, so good.

Reminds me of the Movie Major League. Wonder who the card board cut out is.

Julius Randle looks physically ready to be an NBA 4 to me. The other guys all have questions, IMO.

Just imagine if he does it again tonight against steph curry. Curry was called out about turning the ball over lately too..
