So, the new B1G divisions are being done by time zone. Eastern Division in the EST and Western in Central Time Zone, with exception of Purdue.

That means that Maryland and Rutgers get to play OSU, Michigan, Michigan State and PSU each year. Nice.
The big winner is probably MN. With Wiscy losing entire starting front line, top RB's and WR's, MN might have the best team returning in the Western.

Interesting choice. If the NCAA moves toward a playoff where each conf champ gets in, as a result of a conf champ game, watch those divisions get shuffled right quick.

So those 4 teams start the year off with 2 wins every year. Not a bad deal for them.

cananyone see that lasting very long- no way os m or ms want to go thru the other 2 every year while the west side is a open range

RU is also going to suffer from the fact that the B1G has asked their schools to stop playing FCS teams.

They better hire a new FB scheduler then. That's all they know how to do.

Watch BiG come up with the "Rutgers" rule which is an exception that allows the bottom two teams in each Division to schedule at least 2 FCS games every year.

They've got UCLA, Washington St, Kansas, and Miami on the books.

Oh and lots of Temple and UConn.

I imagine RU will have many, many games with Army moving forward.

Rutgers' rule of the AAC should translate into many division and conference championships...what's that? ... Oh! You say Rutgers didn't rule the AAC? Nevermind, Rutgers is screwed. I have to stop looking in on the Rutgers message board.

bite the pillow Rutgirls.

You know that Buttgers fans will suddenly change their tune. They'll go on and on about how great it is to schedule good teams, and play a top schedule. Blah, blah, blah. Meanwhile, Michigan, OSU, PSU, MSU et al will run through Jersey like Grant ran through Richmond, cherry picking all of the top Jersey recruits, raping and pillaging.

I refuse to watch anything B1G. Every fanbase in that stupid conference has there head up there ass

...you forgot plundering. They will plunder Rutgers and Northern Jersey.

Will there be any fans if they are going back to well...being Rutgers? Even with 4 gimmies OOC they still have to scrap together 2 wins in conference. I see a lot of 4-8 and worse from them unless they just schedule glorified high school teams like they normally do OOC. They WILL be a able to brag about sell outs in Jersey once they start playing OSU/Michigan and PSU.

for the past 10 years we have heard, "oh we're playing UCLA, Miami etc coming OOC". Will anyone be suprised when they DROP these games in the near future and never play them.

My favorite part is that they probably thought they could circle the Indiana game every year, but now Indiana is stealing away their recruits.
