Meanwhile, Virginia continues to roll...

Postseason success is obviously what we celebrate and hang banners for. But strong regular seasons are a better predictor of the true strength of a program than mediocre regular seasons accompanied by Cinderella runs.

Virginia is an extremely healthy basketball program right now even though they haven't broken through to a Final Four yet.
I like and respect Virginia. The runs Boeheim has engineered are in no way anomalous or "Cinderella". They are the result of calculated and proven methods of in season development by one of the, if not the, greatest college basketball minds of all time.

He is a good coach. I'm just saying even a bright coach like him will have a difficult time over coming injuries to key players. Which is what our coach has been dealing with this season.
Couldn't agree more. In fact, the only time Virginia had entered the tournament (under Bennett) healthy was 2016, and we all know what happened that year. And, that sort of thing happens. To everyone.

Really interesting to see the differences in the coaches and the AP Poll.

In the AP Poll, Virginia is #4, and is only in first on 8% of the ballots.
In the Coaches Poll, Virginia is #1, and is first on 36% of the ballots.

The swing the other way is largely Duke (59% vs 26%)
