Meet the Syracuse basketball freshmen: Buddy Boeheim, Robert Braswell, Jalen Carey

Three freshmen dressed in Syracuse basketball uniforms and played for the first time Friday night as Orange men.

It was an intrasquad scrimmage, sure. But for the first time, Buddy Boeheim, Robert Braswell and Jalen Carey played a basketball game as collegians.

Their coach, Jim Boeheim assessed them this way: "All three are doing as well as we could hope."

Howard, he said, has offered instruction from the sidelines. He's helped Carey understand the angles and the situations. "He's been big for me," Carey said.
