Initialliy going into the game yesterday I felt it would have the neutral site bowl feeling to it. That was not the case. Besides the attendance which has been discussed at great length on the board already, Metlife Stadium did everything to make it feel like an SU Home game and did a nice job. A few notable things:

1. Endzones with "Syracuse" and "Orange"
2. Syracuse player entrance video - nothing for USC
3. SU band played pre-game and halftime while USC band sat in the stands
4. Metlife logo kept rotating between Orange and blue
5. Section signs illuminated in orange
6. SU merchandise stands (did not see any for Giants or Jets)
7. Syracuse radio played throughout stadium
8. SU logos on the tv's in the lounges.
9. SU first half highlights on the jumbo-trons - nothing for USC
10. Kisscam!

I just hope they didn't show USC fans on Kisscam. That would have been just gross.

It was a great experience, people who didn't go out of spite are morons. I understand conflicts, unable to travel, expense, but not going because you are offended by a business decision? Please.

Here is how I would tweak it:

Every other year at most.

Six dome games minimum.

Neutral officials. Yesterday was ridiculous.

If it was a home game, couldn't those have been Big East officials?

What did we get at the Coliseum last year?

BE officials. They flip flop these kind of games.

The whole issue of playing in NYC aside, from what I hear, ML's a great facility ... and they're able to convert everything from Giants/Jets in a matter of hours. Nice to hear that the facility did some things for the 'Cuse.

PSU game will be a neutral affair. UND games will be "home" games with more green than Orange in the stands.
