They've looked like absolute trash in first halves all year...except against us.

Personally I think they're more like an above average team, not a title contender.

I really thought the dline was the only thing that saved them that game. once we figured out how to handle the empty sets they really only moved the ball one time and we got beat on the long pass

If Dungey 2nd half version showed up in the first half, we beat them by 10 pts last week. Agree that Miami D line was the difference. Coupled with home field and slick conditions. Miami hasn't really pulled away from anyone decent this year. UNC is bad in ACC terms but still decent in being P5.

Their d line is really good and they are really good about getting turnovers. Some of that is sheer luck but that is really behind their record.

If you have a good defensive line, ball hawks in the secondary and teach the "take it away" mindset on every play, it's not that lucky. Their defense is legit. The offense is bizarrely average/below average given how much talent they have at WR/TE.

I don't disagree. I do think their run defense is just average however. Felt we missed an opportunity by not really pushing the run all game given how mediocre their O is.
