Michael Carter-Williams named one of NBA’s most surprising players by ESPN

Syracuse, N.Y. — While injuries and poor fits have mostly derailed former Syracuse basketball star Michael Carter-Williams’ career so far, some stellar play as a key reserve has landed the former Orange guard among ESPN’s most surprising players from this NBA season.

No Ben I'd say his career has been derailed by the fact that MCW can't shoot. A generation ago his lack of shooting ability would not be the killer it is today. I'm glad MCW has been able to stick in the league. Keep cashing those checks!

Not many teams have a backup PG as good as him. Yes he would be an all star level player if he could hit threes consistently and had stayed healthy back when he was still getting starters minutes.
