Michigan-Indiana

Not sure. Only 4 top 100 wins to our 8 and they have a horrid non conference schedule

I understand the stats. I also know the committee, regardless of what is said, puts huge emphasis on the Conf Tourney wins. We see it every year.

Michigan is ahead of us now. I have little doubt.

That definitely hurts. But a lot more games to go today. We aren't out yet.

michigan wins in ot yesterday and buzzer beater today :bang::bang::bang::bang:

Michigan winning isn't the difference. SU wasn't getting in. I might as well get one of my schools.

Whatever. I didn't think there was a huge chance for us, but it sure didn't help our cause which I would figure you would understand is the main focus of people on here. Go back to bragging about those fancy brick walls on the practice facility.

Michigan's resume blows even with that win.

Wow you beat Maryland and Purdue at home. You beat Texas in the Bahamas and NC State.
Wow.

This win was the best win on the Michigan resume. If the committee looks at the eye Michigan has a lot of double digit losses.

Syracuse resume was better before this now its close.

Indiana gives Robinson, Michigan's best 3-point shooter, a wide open shot to tie the game. No one near him. Now Chatman's last shot was fantastic. Man in his face and nothing but net. Indiana choked, plain and simple. Huge turnover prior to the last shot.

Coming into today (obviously Michigan's numbers improve after this win)

RPI

Syracuse - 71
Michigan - 62

Sagarin

Syracuse - 40
Michigan - 38

KenPom

Syracuse - 41
Michigan - 56

BPI

Syracuse - 39
Michigan - 57

Average

Syracuse - 47.75
Michigan - 53.25

Unfortunately, this win probably puts them ahead of us*.

* Unless the committee takes Boeheim's absence into account

I refuse to be a part of this. Do you realize what this makes you do. Root for Pitt to beat UNC, root for Yukon, root for IU and then in the end we don't get in anyway and you feel dirty and resent being put through the whole thing. If I'm given the choice of being in the tournament and having to root for Georgetown, Pitt, Duke, Yukon, IU and whoever else or being on the outside looking in. I pick the outside, especially since I know that is where we will be.

SU isn't getting in. I'd rather have one of my two schools than zero.

It's nice to have a backup option, or is Cuse your backup option?

SU is always first. Grew up in MI and went to grad school there. It's great when there's no conflict in the rooting interests, but when there is, like football in 98 and 99 and the 2013 Final Four, there's no doubt where my allegiance lies (to the point that I rooted against UM in the final because it felt dirty to switch allegiance after they beat SU).
