Midnight Madness Sold Out?

Extended our New Orleans trip a few days to make a vacation out of it and returned last night. Friday is my wedding anniversary, so I needed to pull out all stops to convince the wife that a night in the Dome would be nothing but romantic bliss - maybe even a Kiss Cam appearance. Finally convinced her with the roster for the Legneds game and called the Dome to see what accomodations would be made to get tickets for out of towners and was informed that the event is a complete sellout! Lower level only, right?

Silly ... is there one good reason for not selling upper tier? You don't even need ushers, just call upper tier general admission.

Sure, lets refuse people who want to come into a 20% full arena while an EPIC event is being broadcast on national TV.

Not one to be critical, but we're New York State's college team and there was no way to get tickets unless you were in Syracuse or the surrounding area. Couldn't take a day off from work to drive the 3 hour round trip to pick up tickets.

Not one to be critical, but we're New York State's college team and there was no way to get tickets unless you were in Syracuse or the surrounding area. Couldn't take a day off from work to drive the 3 hour round trip to pick up tickets.

Well, looks like you'll have to take your wife out on a romantic date while your team plays an unprecedented game without you. Ouch ... sorry dude ... haha.

In all seriousness ... go to the dome and pick your choice of hundreds of people who will be willing to give you two of their many "extra" tickets they have. There's never a such thing as a sold out SU game at the Dome, even more so in this scenario. I guarantee you will have no problem. People love getting free anything, then when they have other plans on Friday or found out they don't actually have 10 friends that want to go with them, tickets will be a plenty and scattering like confetti.

In all seriousness ... go to the dome and pick your choice of hundreds of people who will be willing to give you two of their many "extra" tickets they have. There's never a such thing as a sold out SU game at the Dome, even more so in this scenario. I guarantee you will have no problem. People love getting free anything, then when they have other plans on Friday or found out they don't actually have 10 friends that want to go with them, tickets will be a plenty and scattering like confetti.

LOL. thanks, DS! Believe me, I'll be trolling the board to see how things develop and may very well take the ride up without tickets to see what I can find.

Definitely make your way to the Dome. You'll have no trouble picking up an extra. My girlfriend and I were on the fence about the event last year because it sounded like it might be lame (it ended up being way worse than lame). One we got past the Quad, dozens of people were handing out extras. Easy as could be.

Just spoke to the Dome ticket office again. They are still sold out and the agent reported that she has received calls for several of the AMERICU branches asking for more. Thought about driving up on my lunch hour but doesn't look promising. So if anyone comes up with four extra...

If all else fails I'll take the advice of the board and drive up empty handed. With a dozen roses in the backseat just in case!

If you call them, listen to the prompts and hit motgage, otherwise you'll get a recording to leave a message.

I did at 9:30 this AM & they haven't returned the call yet (12:27 PM) nearly 3 hours.

Just got the last 100 there and am in front of McDonald's selling them for $10ea. Look for the black car with tinted windows.

As my husband was driving to L'pool's Americu, I told him he should call ahead so he wouldn't waste his lunchtime if the tickets aren't there. Americu said they were all sold out. This was about an hour ago.

So strange, we've been to every MM event except last years' at the dome. Never ever had an issue with getting tickets. Glad it's supposed to be so well attended but pretty difficult for longtime season ticket holders whose jobs run even longer than bank hours. Wonder why they'd encourage people to watch tv instead of attending? Perhaps there's been more demand than anticipated which is a good thing. Well regardless, everyone who has tickets have a great time ! Enjoy the show.

A sold-out MM? I personally can't wait to see the team and the new BMOC. Otherwise known as Christmas and his elves. I have to record the event on Dyv. I got involved in a fund raising event for my wife's involvement in Eastern Star. Gotta go and suffer through a spaghetti dinner. My wife is going to be heading the chapter next year as the "Worthy Matron which is the title. Tons of work and lots of memorization of ritual which she still excels at.
