Midnight Madness Sold Out?

As my husband was driving to L'pool's Americu, I told him he should call ahead so he wouldn't waste his lunchtime if the tickets aren't there. Americu said they were all sold out. This was about an hour ago.

So strange, we've been to every MM event except last years' at the dome. Never ever had an issue with getting tickets. Glad it's supposed to be so well attended but pretty difficult for longtime season ticket holders whose jobs run even longer than bank hours. Wonder why they'd encourage people to watch tv instead of attending? Perhaps there's been more demand than anticipated which is a good thing. Well regardless, everyone who has tickets have a great time ! Enjoy the show.

A sold-out MM? I personally can't wait to see the team and the new BMOC. Otherwise known as Christmas and his elves. I have to record the event on Dyv. I got involved in a fund raising event for my wife's involvement in Eastern Star. Gotta go and suffer through a spaghetti dinner. My wife is going to be heading the chapter next year as the "Worthy Matron which is the title. Tons of work and lots of memorization of ritual which she still excels at.

Cali, remember that Syracuse won't be the only one on ESPNU on Friday night. However, ESPN3 will have 3 straight, live hours of Midnight Madness, which is probably what you want to see. If you watch ESPNU, you might catch a glimpse of your favorite, John Calipari.

Extended our New Orleans trip a few days to make a vacation out of it and returned last night. Friday is my wedding anniversary, so I needed to pull out all stops to convince the wife that a night in the Dome would be nothing but romantic bliss - maybe even a Kiss Cam appearance. Finally convinced her with the roster for the Legneds game and called the Dome to see what accomodations would be made to get tickets for out of towners and was informed that the event is a complete sellout! Lower level only, right?

No one asked my opinion but as a season ticket holder and a member of the Dave Bing Club, and a busy employed person, I really do not like this setup. Why make getting tickets for an exhibition game most do not care about so hard? Especially when the tickets are free.

Why not just open the Dome and have it general admission for everyone? Or send season ticket holders tickets or even an email with a link to print a set of tickets?

I assume the desires of AmeriCU to get thousands of people into their offices is what is driving the mess each year. I ordinarily really appreciate the companies that sponsor SU programs. I make an effort to support them and reward them for supporting something I love.

Not sure I am going to do that with AmeriCU. They are on my bad list.

Why not just open the Dome and have it general admission for everyone? Or send season ticket holders tickets or even an email with a link to print a set of tickets?

Actually, i called Americu this morning and asked if they had tix. Lady on the phone told me yes, but didn't know how long they would last.So i went in and b4 i even said a word she handed me the tix. No soliciting or nothing. She said she knew it had to me that called because she never saw me b4 and i was wearing a Cuse shirt and she said i looked the part.And i walked out end of convo.

It's on ESPN3, which will allow for the fans to re-watch it if they cant go/watch on TV. Need to remember that ESPNU will give live look-ins to 5 different midnight madnesses, so if you want to watch every second of SU's MM, you'll have to watch on Espn3

I gotta believe this is unusual demand for the event and in a "normal" year you could show up day of event and get tickets. I do like the idea of season ticket holders being able to print out tickets...that seems like a no-brainer regardless of the demand any given season.

Or hook up with that guy in McDonalds parking lot ... he's legit ... I bought 8 tix and he threw in a free VIP Parking Pass! It's in the Purple Carousel Lot and he promised it's the busiest lot in town! Anyone know where it is?

Wouldn't this be a simple solution? They send us enough e-mails anyway; it'd be terrific if they'd send each of us two or four of those electronic tickets with the bar code.
