It just is, if it wasn't, you'd probably see Ithaca College getting the students that Syracuse would normally get. Ithaca is a great school, but the differentiator is elite athletics. When it's not there, Syracuse loses the student base it needs to rely on for its success.

I think most of the time, this is the answer it is 1) if they truly believe this, or it is just media talk 2) how do you actually go about it, and do you make the correct decision

This is hopeful news. Syracuse is a brand name because of athletics and there is massive opportunity to be the king of the northeast.
