I only crossed paths with Syverud and Chen once, and he didn't impress me.

As a freshman I met him at a wind ensemble concsrt, I liked him for this, primarily because he showed up at a concert, which was more than most of my high school administration could say, but yeah, he seemed a bit odd.

I've met him. A while back (maybe 2018) he gave me a tour of the new Veteran's building while it was under construction. We also had communicated about doing an event in AZ for the Pat Tillman Run. He comes in with the SU Tillman scholars for that. But that was the year COVID hit, and we never were able to do anything. After that, we lost touch about it. I really have not had personal touch since those 2 things.

ha. in a women's lax halftime interview, haynie said that after he got hired one of the first things he did was go to su sports forums and saw the importance for him to move out on the ad and bball coach hires.
