Missed opportunity

There should have been a dome history special on the accn

the cumulative history of that building is unmatched
The ACCN has completely ignored Syracuse so far. Not a single documentary or special geared towards us.

Nice job picking UNC as the basketball team to focus on this year behind the scenes. Nothing better than seeing the biggest disaster in UNC basketball history up close and personal.

Even the hires for the people trying to be on air personalities are noticeably lacking in people with a Syracuse background. It shows.

They need to fire a lot of people and reboot. The only crew I can stand watching are the people who cover women’s basketball. Again, there is no representation from Syracuse, or anyone from the Northeast. But they at least seem to know what they are talking about and have some interesting discussions. Football and men’s basketball have been unwatchable.

Packer and Durham are vanilla and pretty bland but at least they do some good interviews with a variety of ACC people (including Syracuse) and the dog is solid.

Soon as Jefferson Davies monuments and General Lee statutes grace the entrance the Dome might be highlighted at halftime of a SU club voleyball game

Honestly, what better time to focus on Syracuse than now? Everyone is aware of our historical success, but add in the reduced scholarships from the NCAA infractions a few years ago, along with Hopkins leaving, and portray it as how Boeheim is basically trying to rebuild and/or restock the program. Off to a good start in a few years with a potentially excellent recruiting class, but nonetheless. There's enough story there and would generate enough interest to be worthy of an ACCN preseason special/series.

JB is a HOF coach overseeing a stellar program.

Well, it's not like Syracuse ever produces any decent on-air talent, y'know. ;)

The class that saved coach K has been on 78 times. Along with a bunch of other crap mini docs. Have for the most part ignored SU extremely rich athletic history!

That's also part of the problem. Our guys have so many options.

I haven’t heard a good call of a men’s basketball game yet

I was really looking forward to the ACCN. I thought/hoped it would be a tool for building more league identity and rivalries for SU. Truth is, I almost never watch it. There’s nothing on but North Carolina centric stuff - at least that’s my perception. I’m just not feeling it.

I will probably give it through 2020. But if by the end of the football season, if it doesn’t feel like the network reflects SU in the ACC, I’ll probably dump it.

I know SU needed to accept the ACC invite. I get all of the reasons. But even after these several years, I don’t feel like SU is really in a conference.

I wonder if TB12 is interested in buying the naming rights on the new Dome for TB12 gyms?

I'm probably dumping it after Basketball season and getting it back when Football starts up

The ACCN's been tilted south since it went live. Management and analysts are not just disproportionately, but exclusively, southern. There's finally a special (on Tiana) coming up, which is well-deserved. Once in a while, there's an SU mention on P/D. But these exceptions don't hold a candle to the saturation coverage of southern teams.

I wonder if the NW's programming could be tailored to local markets? For example, ESPN could give the ACCN (which it owns) broadcast rights to 30/30 specials (like the one on Pearl)? Or even better, change the GOR formula so that SU can air 3d tier content in NY markets. There's tons of talent at Newhouse and SU invested heavily in production capability. Let's get our people on the NW so fans - and recruits - have something to watch and the ACCN is relevant for fans of northern teams.
