Harvard has 32 billion dollar endowment, Yale not far behind at 20 billion. If a kid can get in, its free for family incomes up to 60k. Also, no loans, only grants ,so they can be generous to whoever they choose. My daughter goes to Amherst, which has Ivy-like kids, most are not nearly as affluent as you might expect, and they are highly competitive in all D3 sports. It important to these schools to win in sports

The symantics of which dept is paying doesnt really concern me. If MY kid got a full ticket to yale or I had to pay for him to go to SU, guess where I am telling him to go? Hell if he got a FULL ride to SU, i might still say Yale.

Trinity is the Bantams. I think that's what you are thinking of. That shirt was a classic. The NESCAC has the worst/best nicknames. Continentals, Lord Jeffs (old dude in a wig), Ephs (a purple cow), White Mules, Camels, Weslyan naked dorms, etc..
