I, too, make limited use of both my I-phone and my home computer. there are many functions I've never used on each. (I should probably take a course on each.) But I've just been using my I-phone to make occasional calls and photos and to look up stuff when I'm away from home. I made the assumption that as long as those functions worked I'm fine. I also assumed that since I bought it in 2018 that things were pretty up-to-date since that wasn't very long ago. But in the space-time continuum of the computer world is different than the one our brains exist in and I was basically driving a Model T in the Indy 500. The thing is the upgrade and the time of the people who helped me at Apple was free. the only cost was the time to do it.

By the way I'm using that lanyard SU gave us in the good old days of paper tickets for my vaccination card. I just grab the thing every time I leave the house and stick it under my shirt. If I need to show it, it's right there.
