Well that's just crazy talk - you being all logical and stuff! I go back to the AOL days and somehow have been able to avoid being banned. I've been frustrated before but if I'm posting in anger that might not add anything beneficial to a discussion, I don't hit the post button and then come back awhile later. I've usually matured by that point and delete it.

At least tell me you've had a post or two deleted over the years so I can be sure you're human.

HA! I've had plenty deleted - mostly from being in the crossfire when things got crazy. That really sucks - I've had some funny stuff go wherever posts go to die when people can't behave But I know I've had one deleted when my response to the Hulkster didn't exactly benefit the discussion.

I was once permanently banned... In a Triche bashing thread after the Louisville game in the Dome when he played like a zombie I said that he was "The worst 4 year starter in the history of Syracuse basketball."

I subsequently missed the Final Four run and couldn't have any fun with you jagoffs as it transpired. After begging for mercy and having my actual name plastered on the screen as my handle I try not to post things in anger. Who wants to miss out on another Final Four run?

No real point to my post... just that you all should thank me for reverse jinxing us back in 2013. Friends still refer to the infamous line that got me banned.

I understand the bans. Have been banned twice I think in the time I've been here and both times I probably should've chilled or worded something differently but they weren't insanely irrational expletive filled posts. I don't think a 7 day ban or however long it is, is justified. That's a little harsh.

How many bans actually happen per day(Week? Month?)? I have never been banned and I see the same names each day so I assume most people are not being banned on some frequent basis. So I assume it takes special effort to get banned, in which case it is deserved. I guess I am asking: is this really a problem? It doesn't seem like it to me.

Isn't this what they say about the NSA spying on US citizens?

When you lose your license for DUI, you can't drive at all anymore, not just on the road you got picked up on.

When you foul out of a basketball game, you can't play period, not just against the guys you fouled.

When you get fired for telling the boss to FO, you're gone from the whole building, not just his floor.

Get over it.

I don't think it's lack of respect for moderators, some discussions get heated on here and in real life. Different rules apply to different people, it is what it is. There's not lack of respect. As a former owner of a forum myself, without the people posting in it you really have nothing. Respect has to go both ways, it does to some, but everybody here isn't held to the same rules.

I made this thread hoping to get feedback from all parties. Instead it gets deleted for no reason. Why not actually discuss things that are just ideas to try and make this forum better? At least you could provide reasons why you disagree with my idea, which there are many.
