Pretty sure it was before the alma mater and national anthem, but the introduction (over the PA) included how he made the Ernie Davis statue happen, and the picture on the video board was of him and Coach Mac.

Very pleased with how this went. As Todd eluded to they had a read off explaining what Dan meant to the university and community. A very well respected man getting his recognition in front of 40K

awesome, I'm sorry I missed it. I sat down about 3 minutes before the kickoff. I never met Dan but appreciate all that he did for SU, this forum and just the fact that he was an incredible SU fan. Peace be with you Dan and thanks.

To be honest -- I don't care if I was the entire reason, or a percentage, or any of the reason. It needed to be done and I am very glad it did.

Dan was a great guy! Sorry I missed the tribute too! I talked to him a lot at the tailgate over the past couple years! I never really knew how much he did for the school until recently. I for one will truly miss him at the tailgates this season! RIP DAN aka Orangeeyes!

It was a very nice tribute. My son remembered that Dan was also remembered during a moment of silence at the tailgate. Later on, at Halftime, he noticed the initials "RE" in white near the end zone and I told him about Rob Edson. His immediate response was to ask me if they were going to add "DJ". If only...
