Syracuse has offered 6'3 West Australian forward a scholarship. Monique has posted pretty underwhelming stats when representing Western Australia at the Australian u20 Championship earlier this year, but was subsequently offered a scholarship to the national Centre of Excellence, which almost guarantees her selection in future underage national teams. Here is a highlight video:

I think she would help Syracuse right now. Impressive film.

I would take all the Australian women we could get. Fundamentally sound and not afraid to play and bang for rebounds.
Yup. Very nice footwork for a 6'3 player, like her passing ability a lot and she looks like a deadeye from the outside. Put her on the high post and let her do damage.

I like her game. She looks like a nice pop and drop shooter who can play the high post , drive to the basket ofr take the short jumper. She looks like a nice post up player as well.

Another Big...we lost out on! Vanderbilt ???? Really?? over the Cuse? SEC Money ? We have to reduce our misses, if we want to play with the Elite teams in the ACC
Former UConn asst, Shea Ralph is slowly building Vandy program up. They were 23 win team last season, recruited a top guard last year probably finish upper middle of league with another NCAA appearence. That's more to offer than us.

Better school, better league, better weather. Hmmm. I wonder why?

Better weather...Yes! Better School- depends on your major! Better reputation for sure. Better League?..That is really debatable! At the top ..yes, with South Carolina, but I think top to bottom, the ACC is a better league, Especially with the addition of Stanford.

Right before the bottom fell out, Coach Q had Camilla Cardoso, the # 3 recruit in America and Priscilla Williams was the #9 recruit in America. How was he able to do that? The same Cuse, the same bad weather etc! There was something that he was able to sell, Syracuse had been to the NCAA title game...has Vandy? It is tougher recruiting now with all the cash that is being thrown around, but we have to figure out a way to attract some of these top tier players if we want to be competative in the our league, not to speak of Nationally.

That's the answer that everyone seems to overlook, Coach Q, he got program to where we could recruit with top teams but then he burnt the program to the ground. He walks away but SU has black eye for how we handled the situation, we lost a team, another recruiting classs and essential loss any players that might have shown interest in last 4 years. Then you add covid year, portal had just changed that you no longer needed to sit for year and now NIL, an interim coach and SU is not on any recruit's list.
Coach Jack has difficult uphill battle to make SU relevant again. NIL does complicate the issue as SU seems to lag behind other schools.
As for player picking Vandy over us maybe coaching, Ralph spent 13 seasons at UConn, assisting for 12 conference championship and 6 national championship teams, plus also played on national championship team. Vandy had number 8 recruit as freshman this year, so Ralph is building.
