Monmouth Gameday...

Regular Season Wtf GIF by NBA

I was told by the best minds, top men, that he brought nothing to the table.
i dont think anyone said he brings nothing to the table but I think some people were skeptical about how he and the center group would fair given their less than ideal levels of height

and even though its been good enough so far the jury is still out as the comp will get tougher

JB thinks the height at the center position will be an issue FWIW:

around the 8:40 mark or so

Didn’t realize Jason Rivera-Torres is their star. Once upon a time, we recruited him. Never found enough minutes at Vandy or San Fran. He’s a very big do it all guard. I’d expect the ball to be in his hands a good amt. Haven’t seen them play, but I’d imagine our toughest test yet.

JB also isn't impressed with their ability to cover the corner 3!

You don’t block shots with your head. It’s wing span that matters. JB knows this.

Not even mid, these teams ranked in 300s
Let’s try approaching this from a different angle. These wins may not be as telling for what did happen, but more for what DIDN’T happen. They weren’t nail biters. They weren’t "respectably close." They didn’t result in us (fans) scrambling for excuses as to why we didn’t win convincingly. They did not reveal glaring weaknesses (mild weaknesses, yes…but every team has those early in the season).
So, are these victories strong positives? No, I agree with you on that. But the lack of obvious negatives (to this point) is refreshing given our recent history.
Is that a fair assessment?

My main hope tonight is straight forward... 1) Full effort on D - no let up; 2) Minimal forced shots. We need to show tonight what we're taking to vegas.

Specifically, George driving and finding guys (lots of assists/minimal turnovers), Donnie resisting turnaround fade-aways and taking the ball to the hoop, Kiyan continuing to do what he has the last 3 games - efficient ball, JJ playing within the team, Kyle making things miserable for Monmouth, Kingz hitting 2-3 3 pointers and doing other things that he has shown so far, Sadiq wreaking havoc on D but also getting a few baskets, Souare coming in and making his presence known when given the opportunity, and Zephir taking opportunities to make plays. Lastly, want to see the guys have fun.
