Moore's playing time

Your eye test just doesn't match what the numbers say at all.

Carlos' BPM for game was -7.1. His offensive rating was a HIDEOUS 47. That's as bad as I've seen, maybe ever, of a player that played 30+ mins in a game

Moore's BPM was +15.5.

Moore's DRtg was 106 and Carlos was 96, so Carlos better by 10 pts
Moore's ORtg was 149 and Carlos was 47, so...102 pts!!!!!

The idea their production was similar in anyway simply doesn't match reality.

But then again, you said preseason that Carlos was as good as Kadary, so really your eye test doesn't have much credibility as this point.

Dumb stats

He did have some type of brace around his back, on the bench.
I believe that back brace was in place the whole second half. He was hurt. I don't think he was an option unfortunately.

Tough player to coach on a team starved for D.

I agree Red hasn't used him right but he doesn't really add what we need other than streaky scoring.

In a perfect world he'd be an exciting player for next year with a new coach and some S+C.

Red was asked about this in the post game press conference. He said there was nothing wrong with him and guys just wear it to keep their back warm to stay ready for when they go back in.
Coaches don't like to talk about injuries and help make that info public, I think because in their minds it might possibly help the opponent.

I watched the game. I watched the bench.

The only guy on the Syracuse bench wearing a back brace was Choppa. He has worn it in the second half of at least a few games.

Full disclosure. I watched from my house on TV. I might have missed something.

Also, I know Eddie had back issues early in the season and I think he wore a similar brace at times then but I don't know of any other players who are going through what Moore is right now.

I think this is coach speak. I don't blame Coach for trying to minimize the talk about it. But I would keep in mind Coach might have reasons to do this.

Just an FYI, Taylor also wore it for awhile in the 2nd half.

Although there are many questions concerning Autrys decision makîng bc what I witness is a total lack of feel and strategy...Moore starts so you tàke what you can get from him off the top bc of his ability to score quickly in bunches..consistency is not gonna happen. He does look sloppy and uncomfortable most of the time.
Im thinkîng he struggles with confidence as well so get him in the game and hope its positive so you can build off of that.
Gotta know your players and I agree with Autrys treatment of Moore.

* Cuffe on the other hand was criminally misused early on in the season..maybe still but its getting better.

i think pre-plans his sub patterns, esp 1st half
I think so too which is not a good sign. Its good to have a plan or 4 based on flow of game and what the other team is doing.
But it does seem like theres 1 plan.

If he improves his defense he will be a fantastic player for Cuse. Defense and probably 10-15lbs of work in the weight room.
I hear he is a real gym rat. Very hard worker. I am sure what he needs to do is being communicated to him. I think he will get it.
