Most important possession of the game..

Down 6 with the ball we got a JB3 spinarama that got packed.

Got to get the ball to Buddy in that possession. Have to have to have to.
Not in the game without Joe.
The most important possession was every one when they collapsed to the high post. Poor coaching and/or execution

Jake is right. That was a key play and just didn't need that shot. Otto is right. We have to get one of those rebounds. and 917 is right..I couldn't believe Buddy just standing there like he hoped it would go out of bounds. By the way, a younger JB would have the guys in the film room right now watching that game over and over again. I wonder if he is.

We let up a triple-digit to freaking Colgate. I would not look at one possession when the defense lets up a first-in-over-a-decade defensive performance.

1962. I was barely a year old last time it happened. Wow.
Just think, a month earlier, the world was almost blown up. Little did anyone know then that they wouldn't beat us for another 50 plus years. At that time, by the way, they were the better program.

I was at my kids soccer game freezing but I saw the stat line and have thought for a long time that buddy is incredibly soft when it comes to rebounding

Joe had 27, 8, and 7 on 14 FGA. Damn impressive night and he kept us in the game offensively.

The quick hook for Symir at the beginning of the second half didn't make much sense in the moment and Symir, for some reason, pressing to score for the first time all season made it worse. And those couple of possessions in a row when we got a couple stops (down six i think?) but Buddy forced bad shots that didn't fall were almost as killer as him watching Cummings grab the rebound in the corner.

I get that he is probably our best player but some nights it has to be okay for someone else to create a shot 1-on-1 when its needed. Tonight that guy was Joe.

We're either going to fold and this season will be cooked by December or we grow a set, hammer VCU, and show that we belong on the court with Baylor on Thursday. I think this team is too old and they have too much chemistry for the former to happen. We'll see, I guess. I'll be drunk in Atlantis either way

Chemistry, age and iq did nothing today but it’s going to work against Baylor?

Colgate made most of their 3’s off second shots. Really hard to defend those and hard to blame the guards on that. If the rebounding margin is even we probably win.

We also did a terrible job guarding the corners on baseline out of bounds. I saw all 3 forwards get burned at least once. I get some of our guys aren’t athletic, but we played some dumb defense that should be corrected.

Forwards are playing too high to start every possession. Need to move back to a 2-3 zone and stop the 4-1 nonsense

I don't know what "work" means but teams with those things are less likely to let one loss turn into multiple.

I'm not saying we are going to beat Baylor just that I believed we could hang with them before tonight and I still do now. Like I said, we shall see. Also like I said, I will be drinking.

You remind us all the time that we don’t rebound well and we shouldn’t expect to which I always agree with, so that makes your “if” a big if and we probably shouldn’t expect to have more rebounds against any team we play.

We need to have them high up because our guards can’t play defense.
