Most Memorable Recruiting Misses

I know he’s a poop stain of a human being, BUT Dior Johnson leading the country in scoring for Tarleton State and he’s done it against their legit opponents.

Not sure what the nba will think of his rocky past, but definite shot to be a 1st round pick

I know JB actilvely recruited him, but I remember it not at all a surprise he went to Colgate. He always had lofty goals beyond basketball.
"In his official biography, Foyle explained that he enrolled at Colgate University because "he wanted the opportunity to learn the principles of the game in a slower-paced setting, where the coach would be able to give him the attention he desired."

and what's wrong with a syracuse degree if you have lofty goals ?

What's wrong with Colgate? I think things worked out pretty well for him.

I think you’re confused - no one said it didn’t work out for him at Colgate but you said he had lofty goals after Colgate as if he played at SU he wouldn’t. That isn’t true.

That wasn't the point of my statement. It was that basketball wasn't his main priority. He chose Colgate's education over SU's. Was he the first to do that?

He chose it because his adoptive parents were professors there and there would be less pressure on him for basketball. He had an offer from Duke too he passed on, not just SU.

Yeah. I said the part about his parents on December 13. I really don't understand why people are giving me a hard time for not being surprised he didn't choose SU.

Some people stated he was a recruiting miss for us. I said he wasn't because he was always headed to Colgate.

Steve Wright who graduated from Fowler HS in Syracuse and went to Providence. He probably had much more playing time for the Friars coached by Rick Pitino etc than he would have for SU. Was a good player there for them.
