Back in 83, I was taught this song by someone I was introduced to at the Eastern Regional by a well-known journalist friend. He was someone who worked for Georgia in either the AD or SID department. He was originally from NC. This was a day or two in advance of GA upsetting UNC in the regional semis.

Sung to the tune of the UNC fight song.

That is one of the most disappointing UNC hoops' losses I can remember. UGA played well, but, my goodness, they hit some incredible shots in that game. Had UNC won, it would've meant a rematch against NCSU in the Final Four. And, without the 3-point shot they had in ACC play, I would have really liked our chances against them. Oh well...
