Most SU fans at MSG ever?

Just got back home from a great day at the Garden.

Question: was that the largest amount of Syracuse fans at MSG ever for a game? There were a few hundred SJU students behind each basket, and then probably 1-2K more SJU fans scattered throughout the arena. Other than that, literally the entire Garden were Syracuse fans - I would estimate around 15K.

What games in the history of SU hoops at MSG drew a larger contingent of Orange?

That was only my 5th game against SJU at the Garden (2007, 2009, 2011 twice and today) and that was by far the biggest SU turn out. It was amazing. It was also the biggest build up for the game as far as pre and post game festivities. Just amazing and a great job by our fans and a great day for SU.

Most ever. I'm not sure its all that close. I didn't have a St Johns fan within 3 sections of me.

And I agree with your 15k estimate. Probably a bit more if the attendance was really 19900.
