Moustapha Diagne the next Rakeem Christmas

I think you're going to be very pleasantly surprised by Tapha's offensive skill level, is basically the point I'm trying to make. He's farther along than Rick Jackson at the same stage, offensively, IMO.

Trust me, I hope your right and I'll be the first person to eat crow if I'm wrong.

I will point you to this, though, as you mentioned listening to what the coaching staff has to say. The very first thing Red says in describing Tapha is that he's dynamic offensively and has a great skill set:

I hope Red is right.

I don't trust the scouts working for recruiting sites any more or less than I trust 'fan scouts.'

Scouts from recruiting websites, have far too many players to look at to come up with in-depth and accurate reports for any players outside of maybe the top 10. Fans who can actually watch games can provide much more insight, but there's always the possibility that they're looking through biased glasses.

That's why you watch full games, against top-level competition. Put the effort in, and you can have an educated opinion.

I've discovered that my response to two3zone above has been misinterpreted--and it's probably my fault.

I didn't mean to attack two3 personally--although I generally don't agree with where he is coming from. In retrospect, I should have used the word "one" instead of "you".

"That's why you watch (one watches) full games, against top-level competition. Put the effort in, and you (one) can have an educated opinion."

Although, as many have taken it, it was a nice piece of snark; and I still disagree with two3.:)

I watched two full length games from him this year and was very surprised. His ability to face the basket and hit a 15 footer is very valuable for a 4/5. If teams try to zone us with his ability to play at the free throw line and dish out to the larger array of shooters we now have... We may even hit taco time on a few occasions. Also, if a big steps to him at the free throw line, he can blow by and put it on the floor. Just wait and see, he will be a nightmare for opposing bigs.
