This probably won't get much action with the board hottie contest going on.

But I'll post it anyway ...

I had no interest in seeing Cloverfield, until I ran out of movies to watch a year or so ago. Really good movie, and I am surprised they haven't offered up a sequel.

Is there one in the works? I read yes. I read no. Bottom line: I'd love to see one.

This is not a movie, but a TV miniseries. Check out BBCs Survivors on Netflix. It was a fantastic show. Walking Dead caliber, minus the big budget. Surprisingly, it was canned after 2 seasons, and left with a gaping unresolved cliffhanger.

Then, I guess the writer died...

There's a big petition online for a season 3.

Mine are both kids movies, but ones my kid really liked.

We were really hoping for a follow-up to the Golden Compass. My son really liked the books and was hoping for more movies.

And one for Lemony Snickets... Don't know what happened there.

I enjoyed that as well, but then I love any "people trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world that's still very similar to the current world" stories. Survivors is basically, as you said in comparing it to Walking Dead, a zombie survival story without any zombies.

And if ever a movie needed a sequel, it's The Incredibles. By far my favorite Pixar movie, and it's in my top 5 superhero movies of all-time. Not animated, but ALL superhero movies.

That movie was not what I thought it was going to be. I thought Jim Carrey in a children's movie, what could go wrong???
That movie was pretty sad.

I'll offer up a bigger list later.

Nation Treasure 3. What was on page 47?!?!?!?
Cloverfield. JJ Has been busy with other movie. Think 2014 or 2015 will be the year.
The Incredibles! Awesome movie, definetly needs a sequel.
The new Halloween and Friday the 13th need sequels.
Boondock Saints. We need a 3rd.
Supertroopers been in talks for a while dont know what's holding it back.

That's what I got for now.

Cloverfield was almost unwatchable for me with the camera shaking the entire time

To take this in a different direction...

They made Ocean's 13, but turned The Fox in to a hired gun. Made no sense, since he's obscenely rich. At the end of Ocean's 12 they tease The Fox casing Andy Garcia's casino, and they could have made an awesome movie out of that.

Here's the plot they should have run with - The Fox wants to reassert himself as the greatest thief over Ocean's team, and goes after Andy Garcia in a conspicuous manner as a statement to his greatness. Garcia (I know that's not the character's name) figures that it takes a thief to know a thief, and hires Ocean's team as his security detail, thus setting off an entertaining series of cons by The Fox and counter cons by Ocean's crew to preserve Garcia's wealth. The Fox is motivated by his desire to be recognized as the GOAT, and Ocean's crew is motivated by their interests in retaining their title as the best. Hijinks ensue.

The Warriors - heard they were doing a remake a while back, but don't know if anything came of it. Would've rather had a sequel back when the original cast was young enough to do it. A prequel would've worked too. [fyi- They just started showing it on cable - either IFC or Sundance - both channels repeat their movies a lot so check listings if you don't have it on DVD.]

Beerfest - probably same reasons as no Super Troopers sequel. Potfest was teased at the end of the flick, but pretty clearly not serious.

Independence Day - just because they fought off one alien invasion doesn't mean there couldn't be another one. Would likely be a typical cash grab sequel where the same general things happen just a little bit differently. Could replace Randy Quaid's character type with Danny McBride maybe.

Not sure you are aware but an Independence Day sequel has been announced and is in development right now. Will Smith will not be involved though.

Why on earth does our board not let you type out G-A-R-C-I-A?

Didn't know about that. Sounds like a cash grab sequel already though.

I would have liked to see a Red Dawn sequel. The original one.

I'd like to be able to say that explains it... but that still doesn't make any sense.
Right. What if our starting QB's name was Garcia?

EDIT: Crap. I'll try again - What if our starting QB's name was G-a-r-c-i-a?
