yup. Visuals are great, shows you dont need tons of things blowing up to be a good movie
Agreed. Now I want to read the novella because there were some things they basically glanced over in the movie that were explained in the written form.

Trying to get through all the best picture nominees. Have The Secret Agent and Hamnet left to go. Try to keep an active list of things I loved and liked for each year. Marty and Train Dreams are on the loved. Sentimental Value, One Battle, Sinners, F1 and Bugonia on the liked.

Bugonia is wild and a must see, dark complex in its overtones with a deeper hidden message and storyline

Hamnets ending is about the most emotional movie ending since, well probably since ever. It’s the most emotionally searing movie I can ever recall seeing as it deals with unconscionable loss wrapped around a very cool storyline of the famous playwrights life with his wife and family.

That said It’s a bit of a slow burn film about the life of William Shakespeare and the possible backstory to the creation of Hamlet.

It’s grand in it’s visuals albeit as mentioned a tad slow in its development but worth getting through and will win multiple Oscars. Cool they’re still making movies like this

Saw Sinners and Frankenstein. Full of great performances. Beautifully filmed. Enjoyed them both.

Best Picture?

I am SO looking forward to this movie.

The book was great.
Everyone i know who read the book hated it compared to the Martian.

I was also told the movie is much more lighthearted and entertaining. Which is also why I think the Martian ended up so well liked.

Loved them both, along with Artemis. I'm a sucker for hard science fiction.

I mean, seriously, what's to hate? Essentially the same-ish story in a different setting. Wise-cracking protagonist, space, urgent mission...

upperdeck?
If I wanted to get picked on, I could just have a conversation with my wife and kids. Though to do come here to have conversations with people other than my wife and kids, now that I am stuck working from home every day, so I guess getting abused here is just like being with family.

Enjoy it. Although that one really wasn’t about you. It was a distraction at best from what we all know is coming.

Have at it with the setup I left for you OIG.
