Must read story of friendship between Eskridge and FSU Freeman

Nice article. Good kids. And I probably shouldn't add this, but I will... I hope they are thinking about life outside of the NFL. They can still accomplish everything they dreamed of through their education. It doesn't have to be -- and likely won't be -- through professional football.

Great great story...and to follow All's sentiment...best of the best make the NFL. Always make that a dream at this level, and a goal...but you have to be prepared for life outside of football just in case.

It's been more than a decade since Freeman and Eskridge first met in the "Pork 'n Beans" housing projects in Miami

Anyone that watches the "First 48" on A&E knows that place is AWFUL. Pretty much 90% of the murders featured in miami on the First 48 are from this housing project. To know these kids made it to 4 year universities is a small miracle in itself.

Cuselegacy,
Thanks for sharing. I love hearing stories like this. Great kids on both sides. Reading these stories make me realize just how lucky I was to grow up in little Weedsport, NY.

Great article. After the early struggle Eskridge has really turned it up. The int he had last week was a BIGTIME play. The catch was great but the read he made and getting over to get to the ball was even better.

I see both making the NFL. Freeman is the real deal and if Eskridge improves on his striking ability, he will likely be drafted early.

Even if one of them or even both make the NFL, you last for a couple of years, and then that's it. Most guys will NEVER make the NFL. And even those who do, most will never make enough money to live off of for the rest of their lives.
