My 2 cents

-Firing both coordinators last year was a huge red flag.
-Lack of QB depth and development in year 5.
-Disproportinately large number of season ending injuries seemingly every year suggests there is a problem with our approach to strength and conditioning.
-Poor clock management, play calling and and game management.
-4 out of 5 losing seasons.

For the amount of coin he's being paid, this program deserves a heck of a lot better. I understand he's not going anywhere next year but, I've seen enough. He's not the guy. A nice man who is in over his head IMHO.

- Firing both coordinators was a sign that last year wasn't ok. Not making a change would have been a bigger red flag.
- QB is problematic for sure
- Could be on S&C
- I think fans always think their coach can't play call or manage the clock and mostly we don't have all of the info to actually judge
- Year 1 following a losing coach is a building year. Year two we lost our QB after beating a ranked team for the first time in 4 years or something. Same thing in year 3 but this time we did something that hadn't been done since Mac, and year 4 was a 10 wins something we hadn't had in almost 20 years. For me, the first year that made me question him was last year. This year is a giant pass and anyone who thinks otherwise is deluding themselves

Year 3 was ten wins. You think Dino is in his sixth year as HC? Did I sleep through a season of Syracuse FB?

Punch drunk lol. I keep thinking that there's no way we beat a ranked team in year 1 and folks are pooping on the HC but here we are

We have a young base now. The issue is there are gigantic holes in the upper class. Next year is year 6 not year 3.
Yeah, there are holes. We've had some guys transfer out because they were recruited over, some lost to career ending injury, and there have been misses. The most disappointing position group to me is WR. We should be better there.

I guess people expect a coach to come in here and immediately recruit well despite our crappy reputation. I didn't. Dino grabbed a few really good players in his first couple classes but has taken a while to get deeper with the quality. That shouldn't be surprising. Last year's and this year's seem to be an improvement on that.

What position do we have upperclassmen? Normally a new HC will bring in his guys in the recruiting classes after year 1 and year 2 (the first class is a transition class). Then he will play those guys early so he has a young team in year 3 which turns into an old team in year 5. This year our roster looks more like a year 3 roster than a year 5 roster. Why is that? He needs to be held accountable for that not just the QB position.
This is a pretty darn good assessment and rationale where we are vs. where we could be. My answer to why our roster looks more like a yr 3 than a yr 5 roster is pretty much - HCDB gambled and lost on winning early (i.e. riding the Dungey wave). I think he rode the wave of ED with an arrogant notion he might be circumvent the rebuilding process and simply lost. All signs looked like he could do it through year 3 (track record at other schools, flashes of brilliance against VT, Clemson and the 10 win season).

I think HCDB has been humbled, he knows he made mistakes including overplaying when the change would really occur. Sustained success takes longer to accomplish in a P5 conference than a G5. However, based on the coaching moves last year, the talent of the underclassmen playing this season combined with the class coming in, it is finally starting to look like a coach with a plan. Hopefully, the program holds onto the incoming class and those underclassmen become upper classmen.

I wish I could have slept through this entire football season college and pro.

I doubt we can find anyone better personality wise, or someone the kids like more. That said, give me miserable Marrone, and his actual coaching abilities over Dino's lack of, any day of the week.
