Dino hasn't lost the team. They played very hard today. Start to finish there wasn't any quit which is a great sign.
I thought Dino made a strategic mistake not using the wildcat up 7-3 on 3rd down. Still its hard to be critical as he was showing confidence in his team.
The officials were as bad as i have seen. Dino needs to change his approach as the Hawaiian chill approach isnt working. Id rather see him borrow a page from Shaf with a touch of Rav dog thrown in. Seriously something needs to be done as we were totally screwed.
Thought the Oline played their best game of the year. I hope Serv returns.
Tucker is the real deal and Lutz needs to on the field.
We need a QB desperately, a starting OT, DT, and for a couple of our Senior Dlines to return.
Speaking of QBs what an amazing job Rex has done. My wife went through 5 months of chemotherapy and ended up passing away. As anyone who has been through it or has had a loved one go through it will tell you it is beyond terrible.
Rex went through an incredibly difficult regimen. For him to survive cancer and carry himself as he has is to be celebrated. In my book he is this years most valuable player.
I believe that todays effort on National TV will keep the incoming frosh class intact.
Sad that the season is over and that we didnt have a better season. Im grateful that my Dad and his friends got a full season.
Im going with 7 wins and a solid bowl next year.
Go Orange!

I’m a big fan of Rex as as kid. Poor kid was thrown into a bad situation. Would have like to see the Frosh play even if he did not know the playbook. The QB play was about as bad as could be, again not Rex's fault he is a TE. Basically no snaps for Dillon which is a bummer for development. Hope Rex stays and returns to backup TE

Agreed. Rex shouldn't be the backup thats on Dino. Still the kid did his best and carried himself as a leader. If Rex has Tommys arm talent he would be one heck of a QB.

I agree on Rex especially. So easy last week to bash the kid for the end of the game. There is nobody that felt worse than Rex. We have people posting how bad or even stupid he was to do that. He followed his instincts while playing QB in a tough situation. Drives me crazy when people who are not in his situation (D1 QB, crazy situation at the end of a tough season) attack him, especially after all he went through.

Personally I'm glad he got to start at ND and that he played well. Would have been nice to get Dillon a few passes but he still has time. And ultimately we need a strong OLine. This was a great outing today for that unit, but if Dino played Dillon more and he got hurt, we would be second guessing that too.

Well he is not much of a runner either and does not fell pressure and fumbles a lot. Again not his fault he is a TE. I think some wildcat would have been interesting with Rhino leading but so darn conservative

the snaps dillon did get he showed absolutely no enthusiasm for. he looked like a kid going thru the motions.
that sticks in my mind. i hope the freshman qb coming in gets ready in a hurry.

Imagine coming in to hand the ball ofn7 times and get to throw one pass in the last 5 minutes of a blow out

Rex did a good job at QB — except for the two fumbles. And one of those was a call deserving a review, after a hard tackle by two ND defenders. Rex got his passes out quickly, used receivers on both sides of the field, did not ground the ball, or take multiple sacks, or roll out and do nothing. Only one interception. We looked like a decent offense (not real good, but at least decent) for much of the game. And this was against a strong ND defense.
