Matt that's fantastic, so glad to see some good karma come out of this weekend. We (Texanmark and I) had a similar very cool contact and long connection with Lawrence Moten. It's really great to see all those guys so proud to be there supporting their school.

Also so very cool to finally connect with you after all these years and sorry that the planets didn't align with a "W" etc. so we could've connected for that post game drink. Next time for sure. Hope to see you more of a regular on here, you presence is truly valued. Stick around bro. See you at the next FF or sooner!

Your highlight has become a board highlight! Not only did you have a great moment, but by sharing it and your thoughtful action, you brought the lot of us shared joy instead of the usual mild envy. I mean that too, this post should inspire a category for annual awards or some sort of hall of fame(seriously, admin!). The real life action of hooking up Mason's work with the man who inspired it was the thing of legend!

First thing I did after I got back from New Orleans is ship him a replacement.

And it just arrived Wednesday, with Mason refusing to accept payment for the new one. I have, since then, told the complete story to a few different client delegations--especially some stressed-out folks whom I am trying to shepherd through mediations in very difficult cases. Having the gen-u-ine article in hand to illustrate the awesome quality of the engraving has allowed me to retell the story with maximum impact--and it leads to the broadest grins every single time. The process Mason started continues to spread a tremendously good vibe.

Mason, you continue to prove yourself as the man. Thank you again, a million times over, for your generosity in sending the replacement, and for making this entire story possible by creating the original case. I hope we can find a way to get together when I [hopefully] to make it to DC in October/November this year. Drinks without limit are on me.
